I believe that people with disabilities are entitled to a full place in society. And therefore also to participate in the labour process, in line with their capabilities. To give substance to that right, it is important that organisations aimed at increasing labour participation learn to use their expertise in such a way that the employment opportunities of people with disabilities are developed. Hence the Frans Nijhuis Foundation supports companies, organisations and institutions from that perspective. I do so through organisational development, research and advice to improve policy and implementation aimed at the labour participation of people with functional disabilities. The Frans Nijhuis Foundation also contributes to policy developments aimed at augmenting people with disabilities. This can be at reintegration companies, care institutions, implementing organisations, but also at social policy level.
